Travis 1979-2011
After 32 hard years Travis has passed due to complications relating to MD. He was able to use the wonderful donations from this site to purchase his new handicapped van. He was able to drive it – once, and it gave him great joy.
We sincerely appreciate everything his friends and family have done over the past years.
He will be greatly missed.
Words can’t express how crushed I am about this. Travis was a very good friend to me and a tremendous source of strength and inspiration that came to me at a time when I was still very unsure about my life, and myself. His zeal to get out and do all that he possibly could each day was a thing of wonder to see in person, and it is something I will try very hard to carry with me now that he is gone. Right now my heart is full of sadness, but I am glad that Travis was such an obvious source of inspiration to so many. I will spend the remainder of my days on this earth carrying his example forward, and sharing it with all who will listen. Rest in peace, Travis. You have been and always will be my friend.
